Welcome back friends! If you're new welcome in!
Sooooo its been WELLLLLLL over 30 days y'all! and I apologize because I missed last month AND THE ONE AFTER THAT due to welcoming OUR 3rd baby! So this month expect 3 posts! We're in this together!
Let's do our self check in. Ask yourself "how do you I feel?" Not how society wants you to feel but how you truly feel? If it were just you and God, go ahead and answer. I'll wait!
Now that we have checked in let's get into it. As I was sitting and thinking about all of the ways I can be better, do better, provide for my kids, you know asking all of the questions you can think of while you're in deep thought and sleep deprived. God placed on my heart to ponder "what if all you did was be a great mother?", what if your kids were the best thing you ever did? what if your goal in this life was to create great disciples?
A while ago I can't remember if I read this story or saw it or someone told me. There was a mother who went to be with the Lord and she was crying and saying that she didn't do anything. God looked at her and told her that she was a great mother, well done my faithful servant. I believe she had 3 kids and God went on to tell her how all 3 of her sons turned out and how many lives each and every son of hers brought to Christ. This mothers life goal was to create God fearing children and to raise them up in the Kingdom. By doing so God's legacy went on and HIS work was completed. By being a faith filled mother she did what she was placed on earth to do. Be the best mom and create children who follow the Lord and bring other people to the Lord.
At times we question our parenting, we think of all of the gifts to get our kids, all while trying to make sure that they grow up right, when We we need to be trying to make sure that they have God in them and that they follow the Lord Proverbs 22:6.
If you don't do anything right at the very least you're showing your children who Jesus is and how he loves us 1 Corinthians 13:4! Our children are our disciples and the next generation and more importantly kids are probably some of our first disciples. Our goal as parents is to show them the love of Jesus because they are on loan to us James 1:17.
If you never become famous, make a million dollars, and or feel bad when you discipline your child you're still a excellent mother Phillippians 4:11-13. Remember that it is a huge responsibility to be a parent and you were blessed to be a mother! Be in constant thanks 1 Thessalonians 5:18 to the Lord for one of the hardest jobs. Be the mom that HE created you to be! He chose you to mother those kids!
I pray that this has blessed you and that you share it with somene that it can bless.
